The Legislature returns to official work sessions next week, as Gov. Rick Snyder’s self-imposed budget deadline of May 30 looms. Your state leaders have to decide how best to collect and spend billions of dollars. Do you want to offer them some guidance? The Center for Michigan can help.
The Center continues its spring series of town-hall meetings with upcoming April sessions in Wixom, Grand Rapids and Lansing.
Our “clicker” technology allows participants to vote on priorities for the state’s future and instantly compare their personal preferences to the group as a whole. Open discussion gives everybody a chance to have their say and “Talk Back to Lansing.”
Michigan will end up with a 2012 budget. Will YOUR voice be one of the ones that help shape it?

Sorry, couldn’t make it. I heard it was at the Comedy Club in Royal Oak
Good attendance, must have mostly been the ale.
Learned of the Detroit area site too late to attend. Please inform me of future such discussions timely. I would have loved to have participated.
We elected officials into office to lead us into prosperity, not a lower standard of living. Their campaign literature explained the creditials, experience, and college degrees. Apparently there are some that are nowing doing 9th grade math by laying off workers, police and fire fighters. They should be using their expertise at building the community instead.
